Liposuction in Milwaukee
Lipo & Fat Removal Surgery in the Brookfield & Wauwatosa area
Do you have unwanted fat that you simply can’t get rid of no matter how much you diet or exercise? Have you had unsuccessful bariatric or weight loss surgery that left some of that unwanted fat lingering? Then you may be an ideal candidate for liposuction!
Liposuction is for a focused pocket of fat that is out of proportion with the rest of your body. These pockets tend to bulge out from the rest of your body and frequently become the focus of discontentment with your shape.
Lipo will not replace a good diet or exercise program, but it can give you a wonderful change that diet and exercise may not. Consider getting liposuction (also known as ‘lipo’ or ‘lipoplasty’) to help you achieve a thinner, more youthful silhouette!

Is Lipo Permanent?
Fat cells removed through liposuction are permanently removed. If you gain weight, the remaining fat cells will enlarge in the area just as they will elsewhere in your body. But the fat cells that lipo removes are gone and the pocket will never be as large as it would have been.
Liposuction Surgery Procedure in Greater Milwaukee
Small incisions are made and a wetting fluid with medicine (tumescent) is placed in the fat. Dr. Kramer then uses a vacuum attached to a fine instrument called a cannula to remove the excess fat from beneath the skin. Dr. Kramer then blends the fat layer so it’s smooth. This is very important to get the best liposuction results. The incisions are barely visible (if at all), and well hidden. For example, the belly button or buttock crease, so you don’t have to worry when swimsuit season comes around!

Recovery After Liposuction
Results are typically noticeable right away and continue to improve as swelling decreases. The discomfort after liposculpture is usually very minimal, often compared to the feeling of a “deep bruise.” This can easily be managed with pain medication, although many patients will choose not to take any at all.
Depending on the area that was treated, you will be wearing a tummy binder or pressure garment for a few weeks. This fits easily under your clothing and minimizes swelling. After this period, you can resume strenuous exercise. Depending on your job, most people return to work in just a few days!
Liposuction for Men
Men tend to deposit their weight differently than women. While women frequently carry excess fat cells in their thighs and hips, men frequently carry it in their abdomen, chest, or the area just above or at their beltline, otherwise known as “love handles”. Additional common areas for male liposuction are the jawline, neck, and chin. Like other pockets of fat, lipo can easily trim these down and leave a more sculpted physique.
